Elevator Pitch
3 Secrets Japanese Elders Don’t Have to Carry to their Graves :
1. The Fear of Being Forgotten Older adults often feel disconnected from loved ones and struggle to share their life stories.
2. Disorder Equals Shame Experiencing shame at the thought of burdening their families with boxes of notebooks, pictures and videos of family memories is terrible.
3. Unresolved Family Ties and Duties Elders want to communicate unresolved issues with loved ones, but sometimes that is hard to do directly.
With HeartLog, Japanese elders ensure their presence at any moment in a non-creepy and captivating way through stories and memories.

Startup Journey
Your Family Vine is a team effort. U.S. founder and Chief Mobilizer Jeff Jackson found himself struggling with the business. But, he wasn’t alone. Watch here.
We partnered up to better understand what his potential customers were trying to do based on Jobs to Be Done theory. Establishing a core functional job that older people in both America and Japan are trying to do, we linked up with an innovation expert also named Wayne Schmidt.
HeartLog was created by our Chief Imagineer in Japan, Wayne K. Schmidt. Wayne has an amazing track record of innovation brilliance and has a depth of knowledge delivering creative experiences.
Our I.T. director Jake Nguyen and myself also live and work in Japan. All 3 of us are married to Japanese women and have Japanese children. So Your Family Vine Global grew from the U.S. to Japan and we are ready to serve families.
Go-To-Market Plan
HeartLog is rolled out to small beta tester groups in major Japanese cities like Tokyo and Osaka via our web based platform. Word of mouth is built through free life-story events for Japanese elders and family members. We scale through paid ads targeting adult children of families in major cities.
Potential Exit
A company in the emotional wellness and digital legacy space would be an ideal buyer for HeartLog. A company like Sompo Holdings, Inc. may be interested in an innovative company focused on Japan’s aging population. They have the existing infrastructure to easily acquire a company like Your Family Vine Global.
