Startup Journey
I have been dedicated to education and mission work for the past 25 years. In 2013, I started Speak Up English, which has become the largest English school for children in northern Israel.
There are five people who make up the School to Go team:
Anna – founding director
Natanya – head of global partnerships
Avi – curriculum project manager
Cesar – illustrator of the original art in the curriculum
Sigal – administrator
For the past 12 years, I have been perfecting an original teaching method that helps students learn to SPEAK ENGLISH with confidence and fluency (as opposed to most other methods that focus on teaching children how to read first). Our method presents the language in full-sentences and uses crafted speaking games that elicit full sentences from the children.
I have been using this fluency-focused method for the past 12 years in my own school and it works!
Children become confident English speakers.
Go-To-Market Plan
Natanya and I are well-connected in the ministry and missions spheres. We will go through connections we have in those arenas. In addition, we can attend Business as Missions and World Missions conferences to present the idea there.
Potential Exit
Large humanitarian organizations that focus on education of children in the Global South (like World Vision, Compassion International, or Save the Children) could potentially acquire the company.
